CRAB & LOBSTER.
It’s not just homes under the hammer that benefit from exceptional photography and videography. In the late summer of 2023, I was tasked with a significantly large project capturing the essence of the Crab & Lobster Hotel. This comprehensive project encompassed not only the manor house and its beautiful gardens but also the hotel’s restaurants, meals, and 20 uniquely themed rooms. The goal was to create consistent, high-quality content for each room, ensuring that potential guests could easily compare and visualise their options, making each room's personality shine while maintaining a cohesive brand identity.
Given the scale of the project, it took four days to complete, primarily due to the size of the property and the necessity to work around the hotel’s operations. With rooms booked at various times, there was a considerable amount of coordination to ensure that the business continued running smoothly without interrupting guest experiences.
In addition to the individual rooms, I captured the entire site, producing a variety of content to showcase the hotel’s unique elements. From the grandiose manor house to the picturesque gardens and quirky interior features, who else can boast about having a 8ft tall yeti in their hallway? The project was an exciting challenge, and the final imagery and video perfectly reflected the hotel's charm and individuality, providing the client with a range of content to highlight every aspect of their offerings.
Following the success of the initial shoot, I had the pleasure of returning in the summer of 2024 to capture additional content, including their two dog friend lodges. Later that year, in December 2024, I revisited once more to document the hotel’s festive transformation, capturing their Christmas themed décor and ambiance. This additional content helped elevate their seasonal marketing, showcasing the Crab & Lobster’s holiday offerings and setting the stage for future Christmas campaigns.
